About Jess
Hi! I'm a pet lover, cat owner, and freelancer with some spare time on my hands. I'm a registered volunteer at both LAP (cat shelter) with HKDR (dog rescue), and owner of two affectionate and silly twelve-year-old rescue tabbies from Kirsten's Zoo.
I am available for house visits and dog walks in the Mid Levels, Sheung Wan and Sai Ying Pun area. House visits are a minimum of 30 minutes, or longer if needed. Visits typically include: refilling water and food bowls, cleaning litter boxes, playtime and plenty of cuddles. Happy to do food prep and adjust their care according to their needs, including medicine and grooming, especially for our longer-haired (ragdolls!) or older friends ;)
I regularly walk dogs in the Mid Levels / Sheung Wan area, and have experience with larger rescue dogs. I can take them on more active or engaging walks on trails if needed.
My motivation for being a petsitter comes from experiencing first-hand the worry and anxiety that comes with travelling when you've left your pets at home. So, I'm able to pick up supplies on the way to your house, and check on mail, plants, turn on/off ACs and dehumidifiers etc while you're away to give some peace of mind!
I have experience catsitting an older cat (18 years old!) as well as a kitten that required vet visits and an eye operation for a pre-existing condition while I was fostering him for 6 months. I am a regular dog walker, mainly for rescues in the neighborhood and primarily in the early mornings. Unfortunately, with older pets at home, I'm unable to offer boarding.
