About Winnie
Hello, my fellow dog owners in Hong Kong, this is Winnie, currently a year 3 Vet student hoping to earn some extra income by taking care of & have fun with the fur babies!
People who know me would know that I’m in love with all kinds of dogs and is a dog mum of 4 myself. I have had over 10 years of experience taking care of pet dogs of different ages (from puppies to senior dogs) & across different sizes which I currently have a Pug, a Frenchie & 2 German Shepherds, so I definitely have the knowledge & experience in handling different kinds of dogs and can handle more than 1 at a time. I understand the fur babies all have different temperament, behaviour & habits so I know the importance of being observant & detail-oriented whenever I bring them out for walks. For example, my Frenchie has slight dog-dog aggression problem, hence I know how to look for signs and when I need to pick him up to avoid accidents.
Apart from walking my own babies, I have been a volunteer at Hong Kong Dog Rescue for almost 2 years and in my spare time, I enjoy walking the different types of dogs living in the shelter, including the bigger-sized adult dogs in Tai Po. I also regularly help out at the Puppies Adoption Day at Whiskers n Paws on Sundays to interact with puppies, spread awareness of adoption and educate first-time dog owners on dogs husbandry, that’s how much I love dogs!
As a Vet student, I aspire to be more skilled at animal handling with time, recently I have also obtained a Certificate in Pet First Aid issued by the ECSI. I strive to continue motivate myself and be able to contribute to the community with my professional skills & knowledge. I hope I will have your trust that I will love and take care of your dogs like they’re my own 😊
